AI and telephone prospecting

Services are configured with the rules on numbering, caller authentication, personal data and telephone prospecting in mind. The voice agent is designed to clearly state, at the beginning of the first interaction, that the caller is interacting with AI. This transparency requirement applies from 2 August 2026.

In France, B2C prospecting performed through an automated system already requires prior consent under CNIL rules. From 11 August 2026, prior consent becomes the broader rule for B2C telemarketing, subject to statutory exceptions. At the start of the exchange, the campaign must state the commissioning company’s identity, its commercial purpose and the AI nature of the agent, and allow an immediate refusal. In B2B, the contact list must remain lawful, the approach relevant to the person’s professional role and objection easy to exercise. The customer remains responsible for the lawfulness of its lists and instructions; Vicitelecom must apply the obligations that fall on it as a provider or operator.
